Being cleansed from within feels absolutely amazing!

When you are clean on the inside, the outside will surely feel the same way.

Suddenly your skin is clearer and more supple.

Your face seems to glow and it’s more radiant.

Your hair becomes shinier and softer.

You smell like you just got out of the shower.

Now I want that feeling!

One way to cleanse the inside of your body is through hydration.

And what is the best beverage to hydrate your body?

I’ve heard so many people say that water can cause bloating.

I want to throw that myth out the window.

It’s the chemicals that cause the fat storage and the hormonal imbalance that in the end, cause the bloating.

And hydrating the body with water is one of the best ways to take out these toxic wastes.

Responsible Way To Take Pills

Here’s a quick history lesson for you…

In the 1960’s, the pharmaceutical companies started to explode.

Different types of medications were introduced in the market.

It was also around this time when taking pills for just about anything began to really take off.

There were pills to feel better, sleep better, lose weight and many more problems that humans face.

Name it, and there’s most likely a tablet or a capsule for it.

The idea of popping pills to “make your problems go away” is so seductive and attractive.

But we have to be aware of the deeper psychology that is going on here.

 

Dangers Of Weight Loss Pills

“Pill Psychology”  is the idea of putting all your hope into a pill and the belief that the pill is going to save you.

I still see smart, educated, successful and brilliant women get sucked into this mentality.

Some just see an ad on the internet or hear about a friend who is taking some supplement and they do the same.

Many women pop these pills to lose weight but then they go out and eat hamburgers, fries and sugary foods and they think that these pills can do the work for them.

These pills are marketed as vitamins, supplements  and energy boosters.

However,  they are not regulated by the Food and Drug Administration or the FDA.

Nobody watches out for the integrity of what’s really in these medications.

Thus, the manufacturers can put anything on them without any obligation to disclose ALL the ingredients.

By the way, some of them are definitely toxic.

Now, I’m not saying that all pills are dangerous.

There are still some that are truly medicinal and can help to eliminate systems and even cure illnesses and disorders.

The real issue here is that if you are taking these pills without knowing the baseline of your hormones, enzymes, blood sugar levels, cholesterol, etc. then you will never know how these pills are truly effecting you. 

This is what I believe is missing  in our culture –  personal responsibility.

When you start to take responsibility for your health, you will no longer be tricked or scammed.

You will be able to avoid putting toxins in your body.

You will stop searching for something outside of yourself to fix your problems, and you will begin searching for the source of your issues that can only be found within yourself.

Responsible Weight Loss

What To Do:

  • Before you take any pills, go to a doctor to get a prescription for your blood work.
  • Work with a trained physician who will monitor your blood work to determine whether you are low on specific vitamins or if you have any condition that needs to be addressed.
  • The physician then prescribes you with the right medication and dosage for your condition.  Preferably choose an Integrative Medicine Doctor because they are aware of the highest quality medicines or supplements.  These pills are certified organic, third party tested and the prescribing doctors have done ample research on them.
  • Take them for 90 days and then do a blood work test to see how the supplements are affecting you.
  • Have regular visits to your doctor so your blood work and your health can be monitored.

 

This is the ONLY responsible and conscious way of taking pills.

Pills should be uniquely prescribed. 

Not every human needs the same thing.  No two humans are the same.

When you take them blindly, it will possibly do more damage than good.

When you take a pill without awareness, it can take away the most important part of the journey which is the confidence of knowing that you’ve got the strength inside of you to overcome anything. 

Your body is YOUR responsibility.

Use the tools of self awareness in medical science to help you thrive and have your most optimized health.

Only then can you be the best version of yourself.

The Beauty Of Meditation

Meditation is an ancient practice that has been around for thousands of years.

It is the art of quieting the noise in your mind.

I also believe that there’s a deep science around it.

When you study the biology of the body, meditation touches on the points that create a calmer well being.

Humans have this incredible thinking organ called the brain.

The brain has evolved for survival. It constantly looks for what it needs to protect you from.

It is NOT here to allow you to thrive.

The only way that human beings can transcend the lower vibrations of survival (aka fear, hate, judgement or pain) is through meditation.

 

Benefits Of Meditation 

1. You Are Able To Be Fully Present.   

When you practice meditation, you are able to fully become engaged in the moment.

You are not thinking about the past or worrying about the future.

You can be still in your mind’s voice and communicate from your heart.

You will have a lot of presence and charisma.

 

2.  You Will Sleep Better.

Often in meditating, we use the chant, “Om“.

It is referencing to the chi or the center of the third eye.

If you look at the biology of the brain, the Pineal gland is located in the part where the the third eye is located. The Pineal gland is responsible for night time sleep cycles.

During the day, this gland releases Serotonin, which is the neurotransmitter associated with the feeling of happiness.

At night time, it sends out Melatonin which is responsible for peaceful sleep or deep REM.

Meditation allows you to have deep healing and relaxation into this part of the brain.

 

3.  Your Intuitive Ability Will Get Stronger

Humans are bilateral creatures. That means we have two sides that are mirror images of each other.

We are literally split down the middle, the right and the left.

In Yoga, the chakra located in between your eyebrows is also called the intuitive center.

This is where you get your visions of the future.

This is where you can see the truth of who you truly are beyond fear.

When a human is full of stress and fear, the intuitive center gets blocked up.

Practicing meditation opens up this part of the brain.

Meditation literally clears out the clutter and confusion, giving you a stronger intuition.

 

Different Ways To Meditate

Breathing Exercises – Count 10 slow breaths.   Appreciate every breath as you clear your thoughts.

Chanting – Chants are repeated rhythmic phrases.

Reciting Mantras – Mantras are words or sounds repeated to aid concentration in meditation.

Practicing Asana Yoga – Moving meditation that aligns moving the body with the breath. 

There are so many more!

The key to meditation is to find something that you enjoy.

 

Create The Meditation Habit Today

Many people are intimidated to begin this beautiful practice.

They think that it will take too much out of their busy lifestyles or it may take too long to do.

Remember, meditation is not about length, it is about frequency.

It is clearing out the trash in your mind.

You do not want that trash to build up so you need to clear it out every day.

Even spending 5 minutes a day in meditation will have amazing benefits to your body’s health and your mind’s peace.

Honor Yourself First

You look in the mirror and notice how much weight you’ve put on.
